Reps. Natalie Mihalek (R-Allegheny/Washington), Wendi Thomas (R-Bucks), Shelby Labs (R-Bucks), Tracy Pennycuick (R-Montgomery) and Meghan Schroeder (R-Bucks) were joined by Curtis Kossman, president of the board of trustees at Provident Charter School: 
Designed for Students with Dyslexia; Shaena Fazal, managing director of advocacy at Alliance for Safety and Justice; Refuge for Women Pittsburgh; and Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh to introduce the Safer Pennsylvania Act.



The six pieces of legislation in the package are designed to ensure that victims feel safe and supported after a traumatic experience, and that the criminal justice system is equipped to increase public safety outcomes.
