Labs Announces Grant Awarded to Bedminster Township Police Department
April 25, 2024
HARRISBURG – Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) today announced that the Bedminster Township Police Department received a $200,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP).
SCIP provides funds to implement state crisis intervention court proceedings and related programs and interventions.
The funding will be used to expand the department’s Civilian Community Relations Specialist Program into Perkasie Borough. Perkasie will hire a full-time employee to serve the program to provide victim services and crisis intervention and conduct a variety of crime prevention programs.
“I was happy to support Bedminster Township Police Department in seeking this grant funding,” said Labs. “Not only will it expand their existing program, it will allow them to implement the program with Perkasie Borough so they can also receive the benefits the Civilian Community Relations Specialist Program has brought to Bedminster.”
