Labs Announces More than $206,000 Emergency Services Grants for Fire, EMS Organizations Serving the 143rd District

February 18, 2026

HARRISBURG, PA — Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) announced more than $206,000 in state grant funding has been awarded to fire companies and emergency medical services organizations serving the 143rd Legislative District.

The funding was awarded through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, which the General Assembly created to provide ongoing support for Pennsylvania’s local emergency response organizations. The program is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

“Local fire and EMS companies form the backbone of public safety in our communities,” said Labs. “These grants will help the organizations serving our district continue upgrading equipment, supporting training and meeting the everyday demands of emergency response. I am grateful for the work they do and pleased to see this funding come back to our area.”

Eligible uses for the grants include construction or renovation of fire or ambulance facilities, purchase or repair of equipment, training, recruitment and retention efforts, public education and debt reduction.

All funding for the program comes from slot machine gaming revenue, not General Fund tax dollars.

The following organizations serving the district received grants:
Central Bucks Ambulance & Rescue Unit — $15,000.
Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine Company No. 1 — $16,136.
Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Company — $14,075.
